Creative Commons Reflection

This project put in perspective what restrictions and copy right laws can do to the creativity of others. I believe we have reached a point where almost nothing is original. No matter what you do someone has done it before. Copyright laws can restrict someone from improving anothers ideas . Creative commons can change that.

“A Silicon Valley School That Doesn’t Compute”

     In my opinion a school like Burlington High School that is one to one is better for preparing students for both college and future employment. Unlike the Waldorf Schools Burlington High School shows students how to use the internet more efficiently and safely use social media sites. Students at the Waldorf School do get a great education but i feel like it is lacking a modern touch. The world is a totally different place then it was fifty years ago so how can schools from then until now be so similar. If schools do not adapt they will become outdated and no longer prepare students as well as they could for the real world today.

sat test good or bad?

I believe that the sat test is a bad representation of what kind of a student you are. most people I know can not concentrate for six hours on a test. Some kids are just bad test takers and the test fails to show talents beyond that of time management accurately. why is a student who can finish all the questions in twenty five minutes any better than someone who can't. The worst part is no one will ever know if given more time the other student might get more answers correct and receive a better score. Just because I am a slow reader or slow with math problems dose not mean I am bad at math and can't understand a story. I get that time is money but what's more important speed or accuracy? what do you think?

Web 2.0

 I have liked the class this year so far. Our video project is going well and all that is left for us to do is edit. The movie looks much better than any of us predicted. I think we will have a good amount of views on youtube. I also liked the video we watched on play. the movie was very interesting and says a lot  about what modern work environments should be like.
